In a proud moment for the healthcare and social service community, legendary Anil Kapoor, along with GJEPC Chairman Kirit Bhansali, Vice Chairman Shaunak Parikh, and former Mumbai Police Commissioner Vivek Phansalkar, presented a ₹75 lakh cheque to Dr. Dharmendra Kumar, founder of R.K. HIV AIDS Research and Care Centre, at a special ceremony held at the Jio World Convention Centre, BKC, Bandra (W).
The honor was part of a grand felicitation hosted by GJEPC (Gem & Jewellery Export Promotion Council) in recognition of the NGO's record-breaking achievement of conducting the World’s Largest Free General Medical Camp, acknowledged by the Guinness Book of World Records.
Expressing heartfelt gratitude, Dr. Dharmendra Kumar thanked GJEPC for their trust and generous contribution. “This support strengthens our mission to reach the unreached. Our commitment is to ensure no one is denied healthcare due to lack of resources,” he said.

Beyond general medical care, the organization has distributed thousands of wheelchairs, free reading glasses, and medicines worth crores to needy patients across the country—further cementing its role as a lifeline for underserved communities.
Dr. Kumar is also actively involved in the “TV Mukt Bharat Abhiyan”, a tuberculosis eradication initiative in collaboration with the Government of India.
